I don't like it

This is about people and their perception. We know ' First impression is last impression'. A common person's preceptions and attitude are build around this phrase only. While I also am not against the rule but certainly in my opinion its not the last. There are people who looked mischievous, shrewd, dumb or stupid to me when I first met them.

'One needs time and space to understand a person' is again a general beleif. I would just modify it to 'One needs to have lots of interaction to understand a person'. Irregular communication or interacting at specific points of time doesnt reveal the exact personality. I go by these and don't make idea about people at the start (at least I try to) or even after a long period of time, if we do not interact very often.

And I feel bad when people put me on those rules. You can't judge me just by the way I interact with my people, my colleagues, write emails or talk on phone. At the same time I can't go to everyone. There are many things which people will never know....

Sorry for an absolute abrupt ending. This is supposed to be the end of this blog.

ps - usage of 'person' is very conscious; I want to be gender neutral.

Past few weeks!

Finsihed this book IIM to Gunjandwara by Rohithari Rajan. The story telling is fantastic, plot is real, and reading is fun. Everytime I read the book I felt am in two villages of uttranchal where I lived for 2 months during my first internship at IIFM. Reading was a nostalgia to me. Especially the way people interacted with us, women interacted with us, the long walks around the village, eating and all stuff.

At the time of buying, the book looked like story of origin of Porject Shakti of HUL, (that was the motivation anyways!) but it was more like experience of a guy who went to village for the first time. And he and his colleague somehow started with an idea which later on became premises of Shakti. Its a good book to read for everyone, gives first hand account of a noth-indian villages, customs and lives..

Apart from reading, I travelled quite a lot these days so didnt find time to write. I met some close freinds lately and went to my village too. The gap between two successive visit to the village has remained more than 15 months for past few years but now I think more about my village..... Thanks to reliance comm. my life seems miserable to me these days.. Internet speed is like there is no internet at all and call drops whenever it feels like. This has made me slow and I don't feel good.

Well, Its been raining in Jabalpur and I have gone to some rainy-rides, thankfully not gotten ill yet. I may be going to the Dam tomorrow!
